How To Overcome The Fear Of Loss?
Today, I would like to share something about fear of loss. I notice most people have lots of fear they will lose their most valuable things when they want to start their own business or whatever important things in life. How to become a millionaire when there’s lots of such fear?
Fear of loss is everyone’s limitation. It’s nothing personal because successful people have it too. But it doesn’t limits them because they overcome it with some mastery. They mastered Generosity to overcome it! This is how you can do it as well:
1. Being Generous with appreciation to others
People don’t normally appreciate things. They take things for granted and blame if there’s something wrong. Being generous is about appreciating everyone, everywhere and every moment. Appreciate the person who make you breakfast, send you to work, someone who sold you newspaper, wait for you in the lift, open the door for you, you assign you task, who receive task from you, etc. You will never run out of appreciation, so do it everywhere.
2. Being Generous with your resources
Now, do something in a higher level. Start to be generous with what you have (your resources). It might be time, effort, ideas, knowledge, listening or experience. Doing this, you might start to fear of losing your own resources. But, here’s the miracle:
“You didn’t lose any of them. You’ll receive more from others. By giving time to others generously, you might realize you time management and arrangement skills are getting more effective. You have more time now.”
3. Being Generous with what you fear
When the second step is practiced often by you, you have no fear with this step anymore. If fear of losing money, give away money generously without expecting return. Donate it, pay people who gave you extra service or buy special gifts to people around you. When you start to be generous with money, you will realize money is coming in generously too. You will not fear of losing money anymore. If you fear of losing pride, do something stupid with your friends or family. They will laugh but it never hurts you anymore.
Remember: When you are generous, you lack nothing and will never fear of losing something. It will come back and might come back more!
