Day 6: How To Get People To Be Your Magnets?- Part 2
Step 1: M.A.D. Goal
M.A.D. Goal stands for ‘Making A Difference Goal’ or ‘Goal That Makes A Difference”.
Take out the goals that you set in Day 2. Review it and see how can you add in new goals or change your old goals.
For example:
If your goal is “I’m happy and grateful to have $1 million in asset”, you can add in:
“I’m happy and grateful to own a laptop company that is worth $1 million.
I’m happy and grateful to help 1,000 people to get the laptop that is cheap and exactly the laptop they want every month.
I’m happy and grateful to have 10 supportive, reliable and long term partnership with my suppliers.
I’m happy and grateful to have a group of happy employees who enjoy their work and pay. ”
When you change and add in these goals, your goal turns into a M.A.D. goal that makes a difference to your customers, employees, supplier and yourself.
Most people who run a business will think of how they can take advantage from others. They try to influence customers with emotion triggers to sell more laptop and accessories which are unnecessary. They try to bargain and threaten their suppliers. They try to push and force their employees to do more.
Do you think your customers will get angry and curse you when they went home?
Do you think your supplier will have lots of unexpressed frustration after they dealt with you?
Do you think employees will blame you and have lots of negative thoughts about the company?
I’m not asking you to please everyone. Creating negative experiences to people who are involved in you business is a bad idea. They send out lots of negative thoughts and emotions that cause you to fail. They attract the opposite of your goal.
Let’s use relationship as an example here. Instead of “I’m happy and grateful to have a supportive and loving relationship with my spouse”, you could add in:
“I’m happy and grateful to have a relationship with my spouse that will influence our children to be good in relationship with friends.
I’m happy and grateful to have a relationship with my spouse that will allow him/her to be happy and enjoy life everyday.”
Same as house, car and health. Your house, car and health might benefit others in many ways. Extend it or add in goals to make your goal able to be M.A.D.
